Headshot of Gavin Bowie wearing an open collar black suit

Raised in Maine, Gavin Bowie was drawn to creative activities at a young age. Currently he helps creatives, entrepreneurs and others improve their businesses, properties and lives.

Bowie is a creative strategist, architect, and advisor who helps people and organizations navigate complexity with clarity. With a background that bridges design, business, mentorship and coaching, his work supports transformation of environments, systems, and the people who lead them.

He co-founded an award-winning architecture firm, scaling from two people to a team of nearly thirty and guiding projects for hundreds of well-known clients. Today, he advises founders, executives, and individuals working to grow their companies, improve their properties, or bring more coherence to the systems in their lives and work.

My work has taken many forms.

Some of it looks like leadership: hiring, mentoring, building teams that worked well together and did good work.

Some of it looks like design: solving problems with space, structure, and sequence; creating feelings with color, texture and rhythm.

Much of it looks like conversation: one-on-one, a person trying to move forward, asking for clarity, and sitting with hard questions until something useful emerges.
